    Panelists will include Columbia professor Dr. Hamid Dabashi, author of "Iran: A People Interrupted," who will give a brief history of the Iranian civil rights movement; Shadi Mokhtari, author of "Abu Ghraib: Exploring Human Rights in America and the Middle East," who will discuss the state of human rights in Iran; and Dr. Trita Parsi, president of National Iranian American Council and author of "Treacherous Alliance: The Secret Dialogue of Iran, Israel and the United States," who will discuss US foreign policy toward Iran and how the civil rights movement will influence greater Middle East politics.
